1. Who we are
Jedsmart is an independent software studio operating two consumer-facing products: fin-agent (a conversational financial assistant) and KidsLine (a family check-in platform). This policy describes how we collect, process and protect personal data across both products and the www.jedsmart.com website.

2. What we collect
Website (www.jedsmart.com): this is a static marketing site. We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking pixels.
fin-agent (Telegram & WhatsApp): when you interact with the bot we process the messages you send (text, images, voice notes, PDFs), the resulting transactions you ask us to record, and the metadata your messaging platform attaches to each message (chat ID, timestamps). Optical character recognition and speech-to-text are performed via Google Cloud APIs. Bank statements and receipts are not retained after extraction beyond what is needed to compute the transactions you confirmed. Your YNAB account data, when applicable, is read and written through the YNAB API on your behalf.
KidsLine: when a parent registers a family we collect parent contact details (name, email, phone), child names and ages, and check-in / check-out events. These data are required for the safety mechanism (parent paging by SMS) the platform exists to provide.
3. How we use it
Personal data is used solely to provide the requested service: answering financial questions, recording transactions, paging parents on check-out, etc. We do not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use third-party processors strictly as data infrastructure: Google Cloud (OCR, speech-to-text, hosting), Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business message delivery), Telegram (bot messaging), Supabase / PostgreSQL (data storage), and YNAB (when you connect your budget). Each is bound by its own Data Processing Agreement and processes your data only on our instructions.
4. Storage and retention
fin-agent conversation history is retained as long as needed to maintain context for the user; users may request deletion at any time. KidsLine check-in records are retained for the operational lifetime of the venue's account. Backups are kept for up to 30 days before being purged.
5. Security
All data in transit uses TLS. Database access is restricted by row-level security policies scoped per user. Webhooks from Telegram and Meta are verified using HMAC and platform-specific authentication tokens.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@jedsmart.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The fin-agent product is not directed at children under 13. The KidsLine product is operated by venues (e.g. churches, daycares) and processes information about children only at the direction of the parent or guardian who registers them and the venue administrator.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the products evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
